Today marks the beginning of Green House Data’s SSAE 16 Attestation process. This certification of compliancy brings great benefits not only to our green data center, but also to the customers that we serve. We will be working with the Denver and New York-based CPA firm Linford & Co LLP over the coming weeks.

What is the SSAE 16?

The acronym stands for Statements for Standards for Attestations Engagements No. 16 and it is basically the second generation SAS70 Type II with its purpose to update the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants reporting standards so that it mirrors and complies with the new international service organization reporting standard known as ISAE 3402.

Why is it important?

This attestation provides our customers the assurance that we have implemented the most stringent of internal controls over our infrastructure and that it meets even the highest standards for all regulatory compliance acts, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), HIPAA, PCI and Gramm-Leach-Bliley (BLBA).

We look forward to carrying the SSAE 16 certified data center approval and will certainly update our readers as soon as this is achieved.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
