Business today requires a different model of computing technology than just a few short years ago. The challenge of the IT industry is to keep up with the need for quicker information transfer, availability of data in a variety of locations, and vaster amounts of storage capacity.
This isn’t your father’s type of server.
More and more businesses are opting to use cloud hosting to maximize the ability of their employees to capture, retrieve, and store data. The infrastructure of yesterday just isn’t flexible enough to provide the computing experience today’s business user needs. Employee productivity hits new highs when data is available quickly and efficiently through the cloud.
In a recent article, Paul Maritz of VMware talks about how virtualization has advanced in data center applications, keeping businesses competitive in this new era:
"The virtualization village is alive and doing very well," Maritz said. "We've reached the point where more than half of the world's data center applications are running on virtualized infrastructure."
While cloud hosting can drive down costs, the cloud is the key to enabling organizations to react to the rapidly changing needs of their employees, according to Maritz. "It's not going to be primarily cost-driven, it's going to be about survival, because if you can't deliver these experiences you won't be competitive in the future."
Whether your business is a small start-up or a larger company looking to stay competitive, we'll take your computing into the clouds.
